Addis Ababa Science and Technology University has provided support in Kind

The university is fulfilling its community service roles along with the teaching learning core business. AASTU delivered various Covid-19 prevention tools such as hand sanitizer. Cooking oil and macaroni were also granted to low economic inhabitants of the surrounding. Recently, the university provided the mentioned part community with 61 quintals of teff and 6 quintals of chick-pea whose estimation is about 342,100 birr to the needy parts of the community who reside in Akaki Kality Sub-City for the upcoming holidays (Easter, Eid and Ethiopian Patriots’ Day) on April 28, 2021. The cereals were harvested from AASTU last summer.

The directorate of community service director Dr. Asrat Mulatu stated during the handover ceremony that such supports to those who are in need are important, and will continue and we will move forward by making the public participatory.

In addition, 6700 birr which was collected from the university’s society was donated to ‘Muday Humanitarian Aid Organization’.
