Addis Ababa Science and Technology University’s College of Biological and Chemical Engineering organized a conference on the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) platform for synthetic biology and precision medicine at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University on the 2nd of February 2022.
The Seminar focused on a platform for synthetic Biology and Precision medicine presented by Professor Deepak Balaji who is the central manager in synthetic Biology and Precision medicine, in South Africa. Deepak (Ph.D.) is also a well-known senior scientist and researcher in the field.
In his welcoming remarks, Dr. Abrham Debebe, Vice President of Research and Technology Transfer at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, stated that since the university has committed to establishing a research center, such a seminar is a viable way to strengthen collaboration and further commitment to the sector. He also appreciates the presenter’s dedication and commitment. In the seminar staff members, students, and other interested groups participated proactively.
