Users access internet (via Wifi and network cable) from their laptops, mobile devices, and digital library facilities for services such as email, e-Books, e-Journals, World Wide Web, as well as library catalogue and loans.
Wireless networks
There are three wireless networks on campus (AASTU Students, AASTU Staff & AASTU Guest). Receive password for the respective WiFi user from a library staff. For further assistance, the ICT office provides support on how to connect to WiFi [link to ICT guideline] on campus and other related issues.
Internet access restrictions
Internet service is intended to be used in a manner that is consistent with the University’s mission. Access to the University’s internet services is governed by the University’s ‘Appropriate Use of Internet Service’ policy. The policy guidelines is intended to provide a framework for the protection and effective utilization of the internet service. Thus, some social media networks (such as Facebook) may be blocked in the library area networks.
